Vesta Modular Wins Six Awards (Including 1st Place Permanent Modular Dorm) at Modular Building Institute’s “World of Modular” Digital Conference and Tradeshow

congrats

VESTA Modular (the nation’s fastest growing provider of temporary and permanent modular buildings), was honored with six awards including “1st Place Modular Dorm” at the Modular Building Institute’s 2021 World of Modular Digital Conference and Tradeshow, an open forum for anyone interested in the modular construction industry.

During the awards program, VESTA Modular was awarded the following honors:

1st Place Permanent Modular Dormitory: The Citadel

The Citadel, modular dormitory building

In the winter of 2020, The Citadel team approached VESTA Modular to complete a new modular dormitory building. VESTA was able to design a building that seamlessly blended into the campus using sustainable, environmentally-friendly, green modular building techniques. The project was completed four weeks ahead of schedule and met The Citadel’s budget requirements.

Honorable Mention Temporary Modular Dormitory: University of Richmond

In an effort to safely return students to campus during the COVID-19 pandemic, the University of Richmond sought out VESTA Modular to provide a quick and efficient building solution to meet the student’s health and academic needs.

The challenge presented to VESTA was to build, deliver, and install 150 beds before the students returned to campus. With only 60 days to pull it off, we were able to build rooms with single occupancy individual bathrooms, showers, where high-speed internet and TVs were provided for any students needing to quarantine.

Honorable Mention Temporary Office Over 10,000 Sq Ft: University of Texas – San Antonio Student Success Center

The University of Texas San Antonio needed a building solution that allowed them to consolidate all of their student advisors under one roof. VESTA’s offsite building process allowed for the quickest and most environmentally-friendly building process, completing the site prep while simultaneously constructing the modules at another location. The result was a beautiful, 30,000+ sq. ft. office building in the heart of campus that was built during an active school semester.

Honorable Mention Temporary Office Under 10,000 Sq Ft: Naval Station Mayport—SERMC Facility

VESTA provided the Southeast Regional Maintenance Center (SERMC) at the Mayport Naval Station with four, two-story modular office buildings to help solve a quick and necessary need for more space. The project was broken into three phases and was completed in less than two months in order to increase office space needed to accommodate an influx of necessary staff to support their littoral combat ships.

Honorable Mention Permanent Assembly: Holy Trinity Anglican Church

Lindisfarne Hall, a Christian & Classical School serving 3rd-12th grades located on Amelia Island in the quiet neighborhood of Fernandina Beach, Florida, needed a permanent building solution to meet the continued demand of increasing enrollment without impacting the residential surroundings. When time and cost were the biggest drivers, VESTA Modular was called upon to design and build a quality, affordable, and architecturally appealing permanent modular building.

We played a lead role in designing the building and establishing the project budget while maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of utilizing the modular building solution. Throughout the project, VESTA coordinated with the design and engineering team, city officials, and technical team to streamline and implement the first of its kind modular building located in Fernandina Beach, FL.

Honorable Mention Marketing Multimedia: The Citadel Project Video
