The board of Birdville ISD identified the need to consolidate existing modular units of one of their elementary campuses into a single building. The elementary school previously had four 24’x64’ double classroom buildings with standard interior and exterior finishes. The school board’s mission was to consolidate the four individual buildings into one permanent 8 classroom building and have it ready for the 22-23 school year. Their goal was safety for the students and longevity on the campus. They also desired a more aesthetically appealing building to complement the site-built elementary school. The project was put out to bid for a modular building provider to work with a general contractor on the project to provide a permanent solution based on specifications given by the district and its architect.
VESTA Modular was selected by the board for the project and we partnered with Indicom Buildings to build the 124’x64’ 8-classroom building with gang restrooms. We submitted the floor plan based on the specifications provided by the district and architect. Our scope was to provide the building shell then work alongside the general contractor through delivery and installation. The building was equipped with custom interior and exterior finishes including matching brick and trim as well as deck and canopy systems to seamlessly blend in with the existing elementary school

You can choose to purchase or lease modular buildings. At VESTA, we offer two leasing options:
- Operational lease: With an operational lease, you can essentially rent the building for us as long as you need. When your lease ends, the building will return to our inventory. Operational leases can last for years at a time, although they are typically more affordable if they only last for five years or less.
- Financed lease: Financed leases allow you to lease a building with the intention of owning. At VESTA, we work with financing partners who are specifically trained to finance leases for modular buildings.

The best way to understand is to remember that all modular construction is prefabricated, but not all prefabricated construction is modular.
