Temporary Dental Clinic

The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe was in need of a dental facility to serve the tribe that could also be easily relocated to a permanent location in the future. The building needed to be close to the health administration and clinic buildings that our team had previously installed. Most importantly, the dental clinic had to accommodate the existing government owned dental equipment the tribe had already purchased and which was stored at a nearby warehouse waiting to be installed in the new facility. Additionally, new equipment had to be compatible with the previously purchased equipment.

VESTA provided a 2,100 square foot three chair dental facility for the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe. Throughout the turn-key project, we served as the point of contact for the government from building design to project completion. The design build modular construction was closely managed by VESTA who worked with the modular manufacturer to ensure accurate rough-in locations necessary for all dental equipment. This required our team to coordinate and conduct a thorough inventory of all previously purchased equipment and careful procurement of all remaining dental equipment to complete a functional and productive three chair dental facility.

During the course of the project, Hurricane Sandy devastated the East coast. Utility companies from the region put all new construction projects aside to focus on disaster relief efforts. Our team was extremely diligent with all communications, working with Indian Health Services to provide any and all solutions to overcome the delays. These delays became a chain of events that would affect the progress of the project. With no power or gas connected to the building, major interior work had to be postponed including the flooring and installation of dental equipment. Through constant contact with NSTAR & National Grid, VESTA was able to complete the project and provide the Certificate of Occupancy before the final day of the contract.

Frequenty Asked Questions

No. Modular buildings, even temporary ones, can be expected to last for decades. Permanent modular buildings may last for generations.

You can choose to purchase or lease modular buildings. At VESTA, we offer two leasing options:

  • Operational lease: With an operational lease, you can essentially rent the building for us as long as you need. When your lease ends, the building will return to our inventory. Operational leases can last for years at a time, although they are typically more affordable if they only last for five years or less.
  • Financed lease: Financed leases allow you to lease a building with the intention of owning. At VESTA, we work with financing partners who are specifically trained to finance leases for modular buildings.

Yes! Modular buildings are easy to customize. Whether you want a specific layout, materials, interior design, exterior design, specialty rooms, furniture, or amenities, we can customize your modular building to fit your needs.

The best way to understand is to remember that all modular construction is prefabricated, but not all prefabricated construction is modular.

Modular construction typically focuses on the assembly of fully closed or nearly closed modules. “3D volumetric” is also a term used for traditional modular construction. Prefab construction refers to anything pre-built for a building project, including pre-built walls, floors, or ceilings.
